SuperValu claims 32% of multiples’ wine trade

SuperValu has reported a steady increase in wine sales throughout 2013 and now claims a 31.7% share of the multiple wine trade over its competitors at the beginning of 2014, up from the previous year’s 28.2%, with a current value growth rate of a further 6.2% this year just prior to Good Friday.

And while Australian wines continue to top the off-trade charts with a 22% share, they’re trending down, states SuperValu.

Chilean wines are growing and trending with 20% share of trade according to figures announced recently at a SuperValu Chilean wine event for the Artesi family estate.

The Aresti label claims to be Ireland’s fifth-biggest imported Chilean brand.
