Smirnoff stage debuts at Electric Picnic 2024
Smirnoff is introducing a new stage at Electric Picnic this summer, featuring performances by The Blessed Madonna, Flight Facilities (DJ Set), DJ Seinfeld, HoneyLuv, Jyoty, sim0ne, and more.
The Smirnoff Stage will include accessibility features such as an ISL interpreter, Braille and colour-coded cocktail menus, lower bar areas, noise-reducing earbuds, and an accessible lift to the upper-tier Smirnoff Mezz.
This interactive venue with sets designed by the all-female street art collective Minaw Collective is an experience with surround-sound and cutting-edge audio-visuals for an epic lineup of talented DJs, artists, and collectives.
Festival-goers can chill out with friends at the shared seating and treat their taste buds to a wide range of delicious Smirnoff cocktails.
The Minaw Collective, Síolta Circus, Mo Cultivation and AV and lighting specialists Kev Freeney and Ólan Clarke will be on hand to deliver a diverse programme ranging from colourful art murals to theatrical pop-ups.
For the fashion forward there’ll be the chance to showcase festival outfits for prizes and to breathe new life into your wardrobe with upcycling tutorials with Dublin Independent Fashion Week, while Babooshka Beauty will offer free festival makeovers.
Melvin Benn, festival director, Electric Picnic, said: “We’re very happy to have this partnership with Smirnoff and believe that this collaboration will add to our already diverse and unique music programming, as well as offering Picnickers an immersive brand experience at Ireland’s biggest music festival.”
Rory Sheridan, head of Partnerships, Diageo Ireland, said: “This partnership marries two of the biggest players in the industry to bring people together for unforgettable experiences and make a positive significant impact on culture and music in Ireland.”
Sorcha Ní Chléirigh, head of Marketing – Spirits Portfolio, Diageo Ireland, said: “Building on Smirnoff’s history of supporting underrepresented communities, this partnership will strive to make music experiences more inclusive and accessible for all.”
