Drinks Industry Ireland July/August Digital Edition now available
In the July/August issue of Drinks Industry Ireland, we look at the results of our publican survey on VAT 9. What does this reduced VAT rate mean to publicans around the country, and what issues persist? Does this sound the death knell for the traditional country pub that now finds itself even less competitive than the pub down the road that serves food? The results of the survey make for interesting reading.
Meanwhile, Fionnuala Carolan chats with Cathal Sheridan of Sheridan’s of Milltown, Co Galway, to hear about how he’s built a successful food business around the passing traffic and incorporated a golf simulator to entice new customers in. As president-elect of the VFI, he is passionate about the issues facing rural Irish pubs, so we’ll be hearing plenty more from him in the future.
Elsewhere, there are in-depth features on the ever-popular RTD category, which is showing strong growth, as well as on the gin, summer wine, and tequila markets.
The upcoming category features planned for the September/October edition of Drinks Industry Ireland are;
- Craft Beers
- Irish Whiskey
- North American Whiskey & Bourbon
- Shots
- Hot Beverages
- Celebrity Brands
