PSA prosecuted Cork security services provider

Billy O’Sullivan of South Douglas Road, Cork, was found guilty at Bandon District Court of the provision of unlicensed security services at the Trident Hotel, Kinsale.

The prosecution was taken by the Private Security Authority and Judge James McNulty fined him €500 with costs of €250 awarded, giving the defendant six months to pay or 28 days in jail.

The offence occurred last May during the Kinsale Rugby 7s festival where he was found by PSA inspectors visiting the town to be providing a door supervisor service at the hotel without the required PSA licence.
