Orsen pre-tax profits down

Pre-tax profits at Orsen, the group behind Pady McKillen’s hospitality vehicle, fell 5% to €2.35 million in the year to 31st December 2018 on a turnover up 23% to just under €80 million from 2017’s €57.9 million according to a financial statement filed with the Companies Office.

 

Orsen had an Operating Profit fof €6,470,136, up 76% on 2017’s €3,680,212 figure.

Orsen, the ultimate holding company for a number of prestigious Dublin outlets including those in the Press-Up Entertainment Group portfolio, had an Operating Profit figure of €6,470,136, up a whopping 76% on 2017’s €3,680,212 figure.

As the business expands, staff costs at the company (including those of the two directors) rose to €23,831,461, up 27% on 2017’s figure of €18,732,656 for a staff complement of 1,365 which includes the two directors as well as 1,209 bar, restaurant and hotel staff as well as 154 management, admin and support staff. This reflects a 63%  increase in staff numbers overall.
