November sales volumes up 2.5%

Bar sales volumes rose 2.5% and values by 1.3% last November compared with November 2013 according to provisional CSO figures which also indicate that bar sales volumes and values were up 1.3% in November compared to the previous month, October 2014.

Final figures for October reveal bar sales volumes up 1.4% on an annual basis. Bar sales values rose 3.6% during this time. Bar sales volumes were up 2.4% on those for the previous month, September and by 1.8% in value during this time.

Over the three-month period August to October bar volumes remained on par with those in the same period in 2013 while values rose 1.9%. Compared to the previous three-month period May to July 2014, August-October bar sales volumes were up 2.4% while values rose 2.1%.
