Naper Arms Hotel fined €2,300 for unlicensed doormen

Publican Noel Leavy was found guilty recently of employing unlicensed door supervisors at his licensed premises the New Naper Arms Hotel in The Square, Oldcastle, County Meath.

The Private Security Authority took the prosecution following a visit to the hotel by the Authority’s inspectors in April last year where they found two unlicensed doormen working there.

This was the second occasion that unlicensed doormen had been found at the premises and the publican was convicted of breaching the Private Security Services Acts 2004 and 2001.

A total of €2,300 in fines and costs was handed out to him by Judge Patrick McMahon.
