Molson Coors’ Best Feature
The Franciscan Well Brew Pub took top honours in the ‘Best Feature Stand’ category, giving visitors to Taste a unique opportunity to experience one of Cork’s leading tourist destinations outside of the Rebel County.
Visitors to the stand tasted the award-winning ‘Summer Saison’ which recently won Best Seasonal Pale Ale in the World at the 2015 World Beer Awards.
The brewery also showcased its range of craft beers, ales, lagers and stouts including the award-winning Rebel Red, Chieftain IPA and Shandon Stout that has led to Franciscan Well’s becoming Ireland’s No 1 Craft Beer.
And the Brew Pub was only one of three Molson Coors Ireland sites at Taste. Throughout the weekend, the company offered visitors samplings across Molson Coors’ Craft, World and Premium Beer portfolio through a series of food and masterclass sensory sessions as renowned Irish chef Andrew Rudd immersed attendees in a one-to-one experience that paired up a selection of the distributor’s beers with bespoke recipes created onsite.
Visitors enjoyed this food and drink pairing experience within the intimate surroundings of a giant Discover the World crate. Designed to give visitors a unique beer and food sensory experience this was the first time that ‘The Crate’ had come to Ireland.
It proved a huge hit with attendees sampling Molson Coors Ireland’s beers such as Estrella Damm, Blue Moon, Cobra and Staropramen inside the life-sized feature. The company also served some of its world beers at the World Beer & Cocktail Bar that crafted a refreshing, premium experience for visitors.
“Our Discover the World crate, World Beer & Cocktail Bar and Franciscan Well Brew Pub each offered attendees a unique unforgettable experience that paired our beers with some of the delicious food that Taste has become so renowned for,” commented Seamus Harahan, Craft and World Brand Manager for Molson Coors Ireland, “And to win the highly-respected Best Feature Stand award for the Franciscan Well Brew Pub was the icing on the cake to a fantastic weekend at the country’s top culinary event.”
