Liam Moran for Faithlegg House
He joins the FBD-owned hotel from The Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey, County Wexford, having spent over 10 years at the forefront of management since its opening in 2001.
From Salthill in County Galway, Liam was educated at University of Birmingham where he studied Hotel Management. Upon obtaining his qualification he headed for the US, working for the five-star Marriott Hotel group at the 2,000-bedroom 13,000-person conference venue the Marriott Orlando World Centre. On returning to Ireland he led the Conference and Banqueting team at the Limerick Inn Hotel and from there joined the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Club shortly after its opening in 1996, working with the team there to achieve the ‘AA Staff of the Year Award’.
The four-star Faithlegg Estate includes the 18th Century House Hotel, Golf Club and self-catering accommodation.
