The company has invested €27.4 million developing the site and a further €6 million on the purchase of the property, Wetherspoon’s single largest investment in its 41-year history.

The pub will be managed by Fillip Mordak who’s worked for Wetherspoon since 2007 and previously managed two Wetherspoon pubs here: The Forty Foot in Dun Laoghaire and The Silver Penny in Dublin.

Keavan’s Port offers 9,000 square feet of customer space over two floors plus a 3,800 square foot garden across two enclosed courtyards.

Two hundred full- and part-time staff will be employed at the pub and 89-bedroom hotel according to Wetherspoon.

With no official opening date as yet (the premises is subject to grant of licence), the company aims to open the pub on January the 15th 2021.
