Irish Pub Awards announce Regional Food Winners

Paddy Coyne’s Pub in Connemara, Galway, The Strand in Cahore, Wexford, Cronin’s Pub in Cork, Murphs Gastro Pub at the Derragara Inn in Cavan, The Hanged Man’s Bar & Restaurant in Kildare, Russells Select Bar in Limerick and Wrights’ Anglers Rest in Dublin comprise the seven regional winners in the Food Category of the Irish Pub Awards 2019 which have been announced by the Vintners Federation of Ireland & Dublin’s Licensed Vintners Association.

Regional winners in the other eight categories – Best Tourist Pub, Innovative Pub of the Year, Best Local Pub, Outstanding Customer Service, Best Music Pub, Best Outdoor Space, Best Newcomer and Best Late Bar – are being announced over the course of the month of September while the National Awards ceremony takes place on 20th of November.

All 63 regional winners will be showcased as best in class in their region, receiving a prize package to the value of €20,000 comprising management training and media coverage to help them develop their business.

The media coverage includes a profile piece in a awards supplement in the Irish Independent on the day of the awards presentation.
