Over 60 whiskey producers along with masterclasses, food pairings and the ‘Dream Dram Bar’ make up this year’s premier whiskey tasting event, now in its ninth year.

Attendees have the opportunity to sip and sample the latest Irish whiskey releases as well as whiskies from across the globe; there’s also the opportunity to experience the ever-expanding range of Irish craft spirits more generally and some whiskey barrel-aged beers.

The Whiskey Live Dublin Charity Bottling, the second edition of Whiskey 21C – a special ‘All Ireland’ blended whiskey – will also be returning. It will be available for purchase by the bottle and all the money raised will be donated to Down Syndrome Ireland.

This year the event welcomes an exciting new addition for whiskey aficionados and enthusiasts alike, namely the Dream Dram Bar. Hosted by the Celtic Whiskey Bar & Larder, the bar features a selection of rare and collectable whiskeys, all available for purchase by the 1cl measure. Irish Whiskey, the world’s fastest-growing spirits category, increased exports by 8% from €600 million in 2017 to €647 million in 2018.

Celtic Whiskey Shop (which is also behind the Irish Whiskey Awards and Gin Experience Dublin) created the event.

“Whiskey Live Dublin gives customers a chance to meet the faces behind their favourite whiskey brands and share their passion for Ireland’s national spirit,” said Celtic Whiskey Shop owner Ally Alpine.

Tickets are €44+booking fee are available from whiskeylivedublin.com or €44 from Celtic Whiskey Shop on Dawson Street, Dublin 2.

At least €10 from every ticket will be donated to charity partner Down Syndrome Dublin along with money raised from the raffle. Last year over €20,000 was raised for the charity. Tickets for the masterclasses are also available online.
