In his presentation ‘Practical Social Media Tailored for Irish Pubs’ to the Pubs Educational Programme at this year’s Alltech International Brewing and Craft Fair held recently in Dublin’s National Convention Centre, he explained how tablets and smartphones are changing consumer behaviour today.
Social media is becoming increasingly relevant to pubs today through such apps as Instagram which tell friends where a person is drinking or socialising, he explained.
Niall also advised: “More people are finding you on a mobile than on a desktop so prioritise your website design to that of a mobile. Complicated websites will automatically be closed by users”.
Social media is about telling your story, he concluded.
