Hilton Dublin Hotel Manager of the Year

Erwin Verhoog, General Manager of Hilton Dublin Hotel, who we featured in our February-March issue, has raised the bar for hotel management standards in the UK & Ireland, having been announced as Hotel Manager of the Year.

The awards are hosted annually by Hilton Worldwide for all UK & Ireland hotels within the group, of which there are over 100.
The award requires demonstrable evidence of how the nominee has developed and grown their business and the winner must also have been able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a commitment to developing their teams.

Erwin, who has worked for Hilton Worldwide for 13 years, was selected for his enthusiastic approach and his consistent focus on productivity, quality, guest service and continuous improvement.

He championed the campaign resulting in Hilton Dublin winning the prestigious ‘Dublin Hotel of the Year’ 2011 in the annual Dublin Living Awards and was shortlisted for the Irish Hospitality Institute Manager of the Year Award in 2011.

Erwin was instrumental in the recent redevelopment and revamp of the hotel, in Charlemont Place, Dublin 2.
