Heineken’s David Ford to be C&C’s new Chief Executive
David Forde has been recruited to the C&C Group as its new Group Chief Executive.
The former Chairman of the British Beer & Pubs Association will join C&C “at the latest” in early 2021 following the completion of a customary notice period after 32 years with Heineken including a period as Managing Director of Heineken Ireland.
C&C has also appointed Patrick McMahon, its current Group Strategy Director, as Group Chief Financial Officer to succeed Jonathan Solesbury who retires with effect from the 1st of September.
In the meantime, the C&C Board has requested Stewart Gilliland to continue in his role as Interim Executive Chairman until David joins C&C at which time Stewart will revert to the role of Non-Executive Chairman. In addition, the Board has extended his role as Non-Executive Chairman by an additional 12 months until the AGM in 2022. This will provide continuity of leadership for C&C following the appointment of the new Group CEO and Group CFO.
