Heineken lager volumes up 8% globally

Net revenues at Heineken nv were up 5.6% organically to €23.9 billion, with consolidated beer volume growth of 3.1% thanks in part to an 8.1% growth in Heineken lager volumes, the best performance from the brand in over a decade according to the Dutch company’s 2019 full year results to 31st December 2019.

Some countries delivered double-digit growth, with the brand’s non-alcoholic stablemate Heineken 0.0 having now been rolled out to 57 markets across the globe.

The brewer closed the year with an Operating Profit of over €4 billion, up 3.9%.

After 15 years, Heineken’s Chairman and Chief Executive Jean-François van Boxmeer is stepping down to be replaced by Dolf van den Brink, currently President Asia Pacific region and Executive Team member who’ll be appointed at the brewer’s AGM in April.

As has become tradition, the full year results for Heineken Ireland were not broken out.
