Few Dublin pubs on market
Shortage of ‘product’ remains a prevailing feature of the Dublin pub market at present with very few pubs being offered for sale despite considerable appetite for well-located premises according to CBRE in its bi-monthly report, published recently.
As a result, spend has been “somewhat disappointing” reports CBRE.
“According to our research, a total of 23 pubs sold in Dublin during the first nine months of 2016 totalling approximately €28 million between them. A further 13 pubs totalling €22 million are currently ‘sale agreed’ although not all of these transactions are likely to be closed by year-end,” states the report.
But according to CBRE’s John Ryan in the Irish Times, “I expect the full year to turn out similar to last year.”
