Dublin bartender secures silver at Giffard West Cup Cocktail competition

Stefi Fletcher of Bar 1661 takes home the silver medal at the International cocktail competition, competing against mixologists from 18 countries

Stefi Fletcher who currently mixes drinks at the iconic Bar 1661 in Dublin, was representing Ireland in team Northern Europe.

The town of Angers in France’s Loire region was the setting for the 27th edition of the Giffard West Cup Cocktail competition. 

Against very strong competition Stefi came 2nd place out of 18 competitors, receiving a coveted silver medal.

Competitors from 18 different countries flew in from around the globe, from Thailand, Japan, Philippines, Australia, USA & Canada, Poland, Greece, Italy, UK & Ireland and many more.

The competition ran over two days and focused on the ‘Art of Balance’ and with a particular emphasis on ‘Lo & No’ drinks.

Stefi was accompanied by the Giffard importers in Ireland, MCM Spirits who cheered her on all the way.
