Don’t forget Irish Craft Beer Week

The growing popularity of craft beers is likely to see this week's Irish Craft Beer Week being held from 30th August until 9th September a popular event. You should try to get along.

The All-Ireland Irish Craft Beer Festival returns to RDS, Dublin, from 7-9th September 2012. A celebration of Irish craft brewing, live music and fabulous Irish artisan food stalls.

It gives visitors the opportunity to meet some of the country’s 22 craft brewers and there’s also the opportunity to pair-up craft beer and food at the festival, another growing pastime among the beer literati who could quite confidently match the appropriate beer to the best wine-food match.

Both local and “guest” breweries are represented and the festival is expected to attract over 5,000 over the weekend. This year the team is looking forward to showcasing niche brands, new products and pipe-line products, as well as providing craft-beer lovers with technical advice on brewing.

For the first time, the festival will launch with a one-of-a-kind beer and food pairing evening on the 6th September, offering guests the opportunity to learn more about the different attributes and traits of Irish Craft Beers as well as providing a deeper understanding on which foods compliment different types of craft beers.
