Dillon’s pre-tax profits down 28%

Pre-tax profits at Edward Dillon & Co were down 27.9% to €998,000 in the year ended 30th September 2016 from €1.4 million the year before on a turnover up 4.5% from €56.3 million to €58.8 million.

 

The Irish spirits and wine distributor – owned by Moet Hennessy, Bacardi-Martini and Brown-Forman – witnessed a 6% jump in Operating Profits to €1.02 million from €963,000 on gross profits of €6.48 million compared to €6.31 million the previous year.

During the year, staff numbers grew by one to 35 while staff wages and salaries were reduced by 3.6% from 2.8 million to €2.7 million.
