Diageo & Heineken biggest trade creditors at Scots firm in administration

Diageo GB and Heineken were the largest trade creditors when Scottish wholesalers and distributors Waverley TBS went into administration last year owing £65 million.

Diageo GB was owed £6.1 million while Heineken sought £4.3 million, according to administrators Deloitte.

A number of UK publicans have complained that they’re being forced to pay their debts to Waverley TBS within seven days and some have also claimed that the demands from the Deloitte-appointed debt collector Winterhill Largo did not reflect bonus points from a loyalty scheme with Waverley.
