Diageo appoints Joanne Wilson as new CFO
Joanne Wilson, Diageo’s new chief financial officer
Diageo has appointed Joanne Wilson as its new chief financial officer (CFO), with Wilson set to join the company’s board and executive committee in 2027.
Wilson will succeed current CFO Nik Jhangiani, who will be replaced as part of the planned leadership transition.
She is currently CFO of WPP and has previously held senior financial and commercial positions at drinks company Britvic, Tesco and KPMG, where she qualified as a chartered accountant.
Wilson is also a non-executive director of Informa plc.
Commenting on her appointment, Wilson said Diageo has a “unique portfolio of global brands” and a clear strategy, with significant opportunities ahead.
Diageo CEO Sir Dave Lewis said Wilson brings extensive experience as a CFO and commercial leader, adding that she will help accelerate the company’s turnaround.
Wilson’s appointment comes as Diageo continues to focus on its wider business transformation and growth strategy across its global portfolio of drinks brands.
