Coronas to kick-off St Patrick’s Festival at Guinness Storehouse

The Storehouse has just announced the details of its 2014 St Patrick’s Festival celebrations now in their ninth year and running over four days from the 14th-17th March, showcasing the best of Irish music, sport and food throughout the weekend.
On Saturday 15th it will be transformed into a rugby hub as Ireland take on France in their final match in the RBS 6 Nations Championship and to celebrate this, the culinary team at the Storehouse has created a special tribute dish for Brian O’Driscoll to celebrate his last international rugby match. The limited edition dish entitled ‘Rugby Ball Pie’ will be served to visitors throughout the weekend.
As well as the exclusive Coronas performance on the Friday, Newstalk’s ‘Off The Ball’ will be broadcasting live with Ger Gilroy hosting a heroic panel that’ll include Irish Rugby Legends Marcus Horan and Malcolm O’Kelly and injured Irish International Stephen Ferris.
The show will entertain a live audience from the 2nd Floor of the Guinness Storehouse of over 150 rugby fans as well as their listeners with their pre-match analysis and team insights.?
All RBS 6 Nations rugby matches will be shown on large TV screens throughout the seven-story building over the course of the day and a specially-designed Guinness burger bar will be installed for the weekend.??
On St Patrick’s Day in 2013, 18,000 complimentary servings of Irish smoked salmon on Guinness Bread were enjoyed at the Guinness Storehouse?as 20,000 visitors from over 25 countries passed through the Guinness gates. 315 Irish and international musicians played over the weekend?during which 1,000 loaves of Guinness brown bread were baked while 50 international media including 10 TV crews broadcast from the Storehouse.
