BAR 1661 launches new High Summer Spritz menu
BAR 1661 launches bold new €15 Summer Spritz menu, wins major awards, and heads to New Orleans’ Spirited Awards.
From tart cherry and chai to strawberry wine and elderflower, each of the five refreshing serves is a bright, bold take on a classic, elevated with the best ingredients and artisanal Irish products.

Priced at €15, they include Sú Talún (Strawberry) made with Killahora pomo, strawberry wine, amaro, tonka, and verjus; Silín (Cherry) made with Stillgarden Berrissimo, sour cherry, chai, nectarine, osmanthus, and genepy; Úll (Apple) made with Longueville House apple brandy, elderflower, pear, sour apple and sauvignon blanc; Tonach (Tonic) made with Valentia Island vermouth, white port, black cardamom, bergamot, and lemon tonic; and finally Anann (Pineapple), made with Weavers vodka, pineapple, rhubarb, pandan and coffee.
BAR 1661 has been busy making waves at home and internationally, picking up several awards and nominations over the past few months for its innovative cocktails, unique hospitality, and staunchly Irish and fiercely independent approach.
These include winning Innovator of the Year at the Irish Restaurant Awards; Cocktail Bar of the Year as well as Newcomer of the Year for new sister bar The Sackville at the Irish Bar and Cocktail Awards; being named one of the Top 10 Best International Bar Team in Europe at the 2025 Spirited Awards and making it to the top four finalists for World’s Best Cocktail Menu at the prestigious 2025 Spirited Awards. BAR 1661 is up against world-renowned bars Jigger and Pony from Singapore, Maybe Sammy from Sydney, and Panda and Sons from Edinburgh for one of the most coveted awards in the business.
The BAR 1661 team will be proudly lifting Irish cocktail culture to new heights when they head to the 19th Annual Spirited Awards show in New Orleans on 24 July.
Founded in 2007, The Spirited Awards are the spirits and cocktail industry’s equivalent of the Michelin Awards, recognising beverage professionals, products, establishments, journalists, and media across every facet of the spirits and cocktail industry on a global scale.

To be named as one of the top ten in the world is a remarkable achievement — to make the top four and to be invited to the awards show is reserved for only the best bars in the world.
The bar’s cocktail menu finds its purest expression in an intimate shared table tasting menu experience limited to just 10 people.
BAR 1661 We Call this Power Experiences take place Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm-10.30pm.
These are ticketed events priced at €165 per person.
With limited spaces left in the summer months, bookings have now opened for September 2025.
To celebrate the launch of the new Summer Spritz menu, on Friday 11 July BAR 1661 will be offering a complimentary spritz on arrival to anyone who books a table between 2-5pm.
The offer is limited to one per person and bookings are open via the website www.bar1661.ie. BAR 1661 is located just off Capel Street, on a quiet corner overlooking leafy St. Michan’s Park a world away from town’s busy crowds.
The terrace enjoys sunshine from afternoon until evening, with full table service from their expert team.
The summer spritz menu will be available for a limited time from 11 July to the end of August.
BAR 1661 is open seven days a week, from 2pm Friday, Saturday and Sundays, and 5pm Monday to Thursday.
