Procure.ie, Ireland’s largest energy broker, has been appointed official energy partner to the Vintners’ Federation of Ireland (VFI), the representative body for publicans outside Dublin. The partnership was launched at the Castle Inn in Cork city, with VFI president, Michael O’ Donovan.
Under the agreement, VFI members can have their electricity and gas contracts reviewed and tendered by Procure.ie at no upfront cost. The aim is simple: to help pubs cut one of their largest and most unpredictable overheads.
Compare the market for each pub
Procure.ie works with every major energy supplier in the Irish market: Flogas, SSE Airtricity, Bord Gáis Energy, Electric Ireland, Pinergy and Energia. Because it is not tied to any one supplier, Procure.ie can compare the full market for each pub and secure the most competitive rate for that business’s usage.
Speaking at the launch, Dean Rock, (National Sales Manager), Procure.ie, said: “Energy is now one of the biggest costs a publican faces, and too many pubs are on rates that no longer reflect the market. Because we work with all six major suppliers, we can put every option in front of a publican and do the legwork of switching for them. Our job is to make sure VFI members are paying the right price, so they can put that money back into their business and their staff.”
According to Máiréad Ní Cheoinín, head of Membership at Vintners’ Federation of Ireland: “Rising costs are the number one issue our members raise with us, and energy bills are at the top of that list. Publicans are busy running their businesses and rarely have time to shop around. This partnership gives them an independent expert who knows the whole market and is on their side. We’d encourage every VFI member to take up the offer of a free energy review.”
Procure.ie is Ireland’s largest energy broker with offices in Dublin and Cork. The company helps businesses nationwide save on their utility bills through a free-of-charge service. Today, Procure.ie supports over 30,000 customers across Ireland and is a proud member of Guaranteed Irish.
