Alan Clancy moves into Dawson Street’s Ron Blacks

Alan Clancy has bought the leasehold interest in Ron Blacks of Dawson Street in Dublin.

Previously a director of the Wright Bar Group for over 10 years, he set up his own pub company, opening his first venture, Mrs Robinsons in Greystones, last December.

The premises comprises basement, ground and three floors which extend to approximately 1,000 square metres.
Ron Blacks ceased trading in late 2010 and Alan will be extensively refurbishing the premises.

“We are very excited with our purchase of Ron Blacks and have great plans for the property which will offer an exciting new concept in food and drink,” he commented.

The premises is sited on a premier pitch alongside Café en Seine and Samsara.

“Ron Blacks is the second major bar transaction in the city centre that CBRE have recently been involved in and it highlights the strength of interest in prime city centre bars,” stated CBRE’s Paul Collins, “We acted last year for the buyers of the Bailey who have transformed the property following a major refurbishment and similar plans for Ron Blacks will put the property very firmly back on the map”.

The leasehold was sold through CBRE and Kelion Swom of London.
