1 in 10 licences not renewed

1,741 licences – or 11 per cent of the total – have not been renewed as of 1st May 2012, reported outgoing VFI President Gerry Mellett recently at the VFI Conference in Hotel Kilkennny.

Gerry believed that the retail economy was “dead” and pointed out that banks which were recapitalised by the taxpayer are simply not lending.
