0.4% fall in off-trade alcohol prices

While the price of off-trade alcohol generally has fallen by around 0.4% in the 12 months to last February, the cost of spirits rose by 2.6% while the cost of wine was up 0.2% according to February's figures from the Central Statistics Office.

Comparing February 2020’s prices with those of January, the cost of alcohol fell by 0.9% comprising a fall in spirits and wine prices of 0.4% and 1.9% respectively. Beer prices rose by 0.5% in February over January.
