Thin Gin wins ‘Outstanding Gold’ at IWSC

Anchor Spirits Ireland’s Thin Gin won a ‘Gold Outstanding’ award in the Gin & Tonic category of the recent International Wines and Spirits Competition in London.

It also won a Silver Outstanding Medal in its Gin category.

This brings to four the number of awards held by Thin Gin. The four IWSC awards won in London were: a Silver medal for Spike Island Rum, a Silver Outstanding for Thin Gin, a bronze medal for Muldoon Irish Whiskey Liqueur and a Gold Outstanding award for Thin Gin in the Gin & Tonic category.

In 2015 it won Best Irish Gin at the Irish Whiskey Awards followed by a Gold Medal in 2016 and now adds two international accolades to the list.

The products will be showcased at a gala dinner in the Guild Hall in London this November.

“For all the bars, restaurants, hotels and off-licences that have been hugely supportive of our endeavours, now they are promoting not just Irish products because they are Irish, but Irish products with an international stamp of excellence,” commented Anchor Spirits’ Managing Director Nichola Beresford.

Anchor Spirits brought Muldoon Irish Whiskey Liqueur to market in 2014.  Since then the company has grown to include two more award-winning products and has taken up residence and restored one of Ireland’s most historic buildings – 33 The Mall in Waterford City – while plans for a new boutique distillery at another site are well underway.
