Pub of the Year Entries close 1st June
Following the successful Irish Pub of the Year Awards launch last year, entries for the second Irish Pub of the Year Awards 2018 are now open and entries should be submitted to the dedicated website www.irishpubawards.ie before 1st June next. These awards nationally recognise the diversity, quality and innovation amongst the Pubs of Ireland.
The Irish Pub Awards are a joint initiative between the Vintners Federation of Ireland and the Licensed Vintners Association who’ve joined together to introduce the definitive national awards programme that will provide credible and independent assessment of the best in Irish pubs across nine categories.
The Awards are open to all VFI and LVA members and the nine categories include: Best Newcomer, Best Food Pub, Best Tourist Pub, Innovative Pub of the Year, Best Local Pub, Outstanding Customer Service, Best Music Pub, Best Outside Area and Pub Personality of the Year.
Judging, which is completely independent, takes place during June, July and August with the regional winners across each category being announced at seven regional finals around Ireland during September and early October.
These finalists will be showcased as best in class in their area and all will win a prize package of management training to help them progress their business further.
They will also receive extensive media coverage throughout the period up to the Gala Ceremony which will take place in Dublin next November where all national category winners and the overall Pub of the Year will be announced.
