Press Up re-opens Lucan’s Foxhunter

After many years' closure, The Foxhunter in Lucan has finally re-opened with the addition of an Elephant & Castle restaurant next door.
The Foxhunter has been restored to its former glory as a cosy traditional pub with plenty of snugs, screens for catching sport, a large central bar and a dedicated events space.

The iconic venue, located on the N4, began life as a roadside public house in the early 1900s and has been closed since 2012. Following its purchase and refurbishment by the Press Up Hospitality Group, its opening will provide a new destination for food, drink and hospitality to the Lucan community.

Once the home of jazz in Lucan, the newly re-opened Foxhunter is bringing back live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

Local legends The Jazz Freaks – who played weekly at The Foxhunter for 25 years until its closure in 2012 – kicked-off with a reunion gig there.

The Foxhunter will also have its in-house Wowburger operation available at the outlet for dine-in or takeaway. For private functions and events, The Elm Room, a dedicated events space, has a private bar and access to a spacious seated outdoor terrace for private parties of up to 60.
