Muckross Wild Irish Gin’s expansion plans amidst rising popularity

The independently owned Irish gin company has secured a broader market presence by reaching new stockists in both retail and hospitality sectors

Muckross Wild Irish Gin, launched in 2021, is an Irish gin company founded by Andrea Kissane and Martin Wray. Inspired by the unique botanicals of Killarney, they crafted a 40% proof gin with a well-rounded taste profile, featuring grapefruit, bitter orange, juniper, angelica, coriander, rosemary, blackthorn, heather, rosehip, and hawthorn.

The gin has gained popularity online and in select retailers, especially in Kerry and across Ireland. Plans for 2024 include expanding to more stockists, both in retail and hospitality. The product is notably featured in establishments like Muckross Hotel & Spa.

Muckross offers serves such as the Wild Irish Bramble, a twist on the classic cocktail, and the Wild Irish Gin & Tonic, enhancing the flavours with fresh rosemary and a lime wheel. The French ’75, a combination of gin and champagne, adds a touch of Parisian elegance to special occasions.
