Laura’s rooftop restaurant opens at Old Fashioned Sam’s

Laura’s brings a contemporary dining experience to Dublin 2, with a menu designed to showcase flavours and premium ingredients.

Laura’s is a blend of classic charm and contemporary sophistication, making it the perfect backdrop for lunches and intimate evening dining

Dublin’s newest multi-storey social destination, Old Fashioned Sam’s, has officially unveiled Laura’s, its striking new top-floor restaurant. Named in honour of the three Kelly brothers’ sister, Laura, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in their business ventures, this stunning new restaurant is the latest addition to the ever-evolving venue.

In addition to Laura’s rooftop restaurant, guests can enjoy a ground-floor cocktail bar that opens into Dublin city centre’s largest heated courtyard (complete with a fully retractable roof for summer), a café-style front bar catering to the local lunchtime crowd, and Sam’s Parlour – an intimate basement cocktail bar exuding a glamorous 1920s speakeasy aesthetic.

The heated courtyard, with its striking red-and-white striped awning, is reminiscent of a Parisian brasserie, softened with lush hanging greenery and warm lighting, making it a truly unique alfresco experience in the heart of Dublin city centre.

Meanwhile, the ground-floor bar brings an airy, botanical feel with its statement marble bar, plush salmon-hued bar stools, and natural wood finishes, offset by striking pendant lighting and vibrant plant life draped throughout.

Taking inspiration from classic European brasseries, Laura’s is a blend of classic charm and contemporary sophistication, making it the perfect backdrop for both leisurely lunches and intimate evening dining.

Chris, Brendan, and Liam Kelly, the three brothers behind the Chris Kelly Group, are known for their portfolio of award-winning bars, restaurants, and hotels across Ireland. Their latest venture, Old Fashioned Sam’s, marks a new chapter in their hospitality journey.

“Opening Old Fashioned Sam’s in the run-up to Christmas was no small feat, especially given that this space was recently a car park and an office!” says Liam Kelly.

“It’s a completely new direction for us, but we couldn’t be happier with how it has turned out. I’m so proud of everyone involved. And a big thank you to my family for their patience with me throughout this huge renovation job,” noted Kelly.
