Jonnie joins Heineken
He joins the Dutch brewer from Telefónica Ireland which he originally joined as Head of Brand in 2008.
He was responsible for all marketing and advertising communications for O2 in Ireland.
A graduate of Trinity College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology, he has held a number of senior domestic and international marketing roles and stepped out of the drinks industry to join O2 after seven years spent with Diageo where he held a number of positions including Global Marketing Manager for Guinness and was one of the main driving forces behind the 250th Anniversary Arthur’s Day celebration as well as spending time working on the Budweiser brand.
Although joining Heineken International, his first post will see him remain here in Ireland, taking over as Marketing Director from Sharon Walsh who’s on maternity leave.

Jonnie Cahill is to take up a ‘senior marketing’ role within Heineken International this August.
