Heineken Ireland launched Heineken GREENLIGHT, a new music platform set to take over bank holiday weekends throughout the year
Moving beyond the main stage and into the heart of cities across Ireland, Heineken GREENLIGHT is built around a simple idea: creating ‘pinch me’ city gig experiences that fill bank holidays with live music across the year, bringing fans closer than ever to their favourite acts.
Kicking off in Dublin over the May bank holiday weekend, Heineken GREENLIGHT will present an eclectic line-up, featuring over 35 acts across 10 venues in Dublin City.
The weekend will be headlined by TOMORA (the new music project between AURORA and The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands), who are set to play their first Irish show at The Button Factory on 1 May.
Other unmissable shows include legendary dance duo Basement Jaxx (DJ set), Irish trad-punk troubadours Madra Salach and The Streets’ Mike Skinner (DJ set).
The first headliner for the June bank holiday weekend has also been revealed, with Irish chart-toppers Inhaler set to bring Heineken GREENLIGHT to Cork. Further details on the venue and additional acts will be announced soon.
Dublin-native and BBC 6 DJ Deb Grant, international DJ sensation SAOIRSE and comedian Madison Cawley attended the launch at Heineken GREENLIGHT’s Stephen’s Green storefront this morning, where they were announced as the official campaign ambassadors.
They will experience the journey with fans across the year, get up close and personal with the headliners, and treat gig-goers to exclusive Heineken GREENLIGHT experiences and collaborations soon to be announced.
A new chapter in the Heineken music legacy in Ireland
Heineken has long supported music culture in Ireland, from major festival partnerships to iconic live experiences, including Heineken Green Spheres, Heineken Green Energy and Heineken Sound Atlas.
Heineken GREENLIGHT marks a new chapter and one that prioritises fan experience, connection and discovery.
Fiona Curtin, marketing director at Heineken Ireland commented at the launch this morning: “Heineken has a long history of supporting music culture in Ireland, and Heineken GREENLIGHT marks an exciting evolution of that commitment.
“We know from our research that Irish consumers today crave social connection and a sense of being part of shared experiences.
“We’re proud to bring global and local talent into the heart of our cities and to more intimate, immersive spaces creating high-quality live music experiences that fans can truly connect with.”
