Guinness volumes down 10% in UK
Sales of Guinness in the UK on-trade fell 9.7 per cent in volume and 4.5 per cent in value over the past year according to the latest figures from CGA Strategy.
A 4.5 per cent fall in beer market volumes generally has not been matched by value which grew by 1.3 per cent. In the off-trade, The Grocer magazine reported sales down 15.8 per cent in volume for Guinness Draught and five per cent for Guinness Original. Guinness is the third biggest-selling beer brand in the UK.
Guinness on-trade sales have fallen 9.7 per cent in volume in the UK in the last year.
