Grolsch gone

Grolsch beer will no longer be available in Ireland and the UK with parent company Asahi ending its brewing contract with Molson Coors.

The Japanese brewer of super dry beers bought the Dutch brand as part of a £2 billion three-brand purchase from AB InBev back in 2016 with the other two brands being Peroni and Meantime.

The green chunky bottles, made distinctive by their swing-cap stoppers, had been declining in popularity in the UK especially and UK supermarkets Tesco and Asda had lately delisted the brand from stock.
