Franciscan Well’s Docklands Series launch fourth brew in Dublin
Franciscan Well is set to launch the fourth brew in its Docklands Series at The Jar on Wexford St, Dublin on 3 October. The event will celebrate a bohemian pilsner created in collaboration with brewers from Staropramen Smíchov in Prague, offering a fresh take on the classic pilsner with an Irish twist.
As part of the launch, The Jar will host a series of events over the following two weeks to introduce and expand the brand, including Pizza and Pints, Paint and Pints events and Meet the Brewer nights.
This collaboration between Ireland and the Czech Republic has resulted in a brilliantly bright, golden pilsner with a tight white head. The Staropramen x FW Pilsner (ABV – 5.0%) also celebrates the cultural exchange between Cork and Prague through its aroma and flavour.
Brewed with traditional methods like the double decoction mash – commonly used by Staropramen Smíchov brewery. The unique process involves a longer, more vigorous boil which enhances malt flavours and deepens the beer’s character and colour.
What to expect
The event will feature DJ’s, merchandise giveaways and of course a chance to sample and enjoy the new Bohemian pilsner.
Guests can also look forward to chats with our brewing team at ‘Meet the Brewer’ on Thursday, 10 October.

The launch of the fourth brew in the Docklands Series will take place Thursday, 3 October , from 7pm at the Jar, 31 Wexford St, Portobello, Dublin 2, D02 K232. The event is free to enter, and no ticket is required to attend.
