Connaught pub finalists announced

Connaught has announced its Regional Award Winners in the Irish Pub Awards 2017 competition.

The announcement took place in Maxwell’s Bar in Claremorris, County Mayo, last night as eight Regional winners found themselves looking forward to going on to compete in the national final on 8^th November.

The various Award categories and sponsors are as follows:

Innovative Pub of Year – Bank of Ireland Payment Acceptance

Best Music Pub – IMRO

Best Tourist Pub – Molson Coors

Best Outdoor Space – Bulmers

Outstanding Customer Service – Heineken

Best Local Pub – Diageo

Best Food Pub – Musgrave Marketplace

Pub Personality of the Year – Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard.

 

Connaught Regional winners:

Best Music Pub: Lowry’s Irish Music and Whiskey Bar, Galway

Best Tourist Pub: Lowry’s Irish Music and Whiskey Bar, Galway

Best Outdoor Space: An Púcán, Galway

Outstanding Customer Service: John Keogh’s, The Lock Keeper, Galway

Best Local Pub: Mellett’s Emporium, Swinford, Co Mayo

Best Food Pub: John Keogh’s, The Lock Keeper, Galway

Pub Personality of the Year: Roy Clancy, Powers Thatch Pub, Oughterard, Galway.

 

 

The Awards are jointly presented by the VFI and LVA.

The Irish Independent is media partner to the Awards with Drinks Industry Ireland the trade media partner. Seven regional events are taking place around the country between 18^th September and 4^th October to announce the 56 finalists through all categories.

Last night’s Regional Awards were presented by VFI President Pat Crotty and the category sponsors.
