Café en Seine’s €5.6m 2015 turnover

The famous Dawson Street drink emporium Café en Seine had a turnover of around €5.6 million last year.

The Mercantile Group took the outlet out of Receivership – Pearse Farrell was appointed Receiver in 2006 – last December.

During the Receiver’s term from 2006 to the end of 2015 the outlet brought in €37.3 million with outgoings of €36.9 million according to a Receiver extract for the six months to December 1oth 2015.

During this last Half, the Receiver put sales at €2.72 million with other receipts totalling €115,434.

Also during this period, the business paid out €1.7 million in property costs and expenses with staff costs accounting for another €610,360.
