Britvic Ireland revenues up in Q1

Revenues at Britvic Ireland for the 30th September to 22nd December quarter show a “comparable revenue” increase of 2.1% according to Britvic plc’s Q1 Interim Statement, although reported revenue fell 5.8% to €41.2 million (£34m) due to there being eight fewer trading days resulting from a change of accounting period as part of its integration into the GB division.

The business has moved from a monthly to a four-weekly accounting cycle and as a consequence, reported eight days less trading compared to last year.

In the quarter it successfully launched ‘Counterpoint’, its licensed wholesale business which supplies the pub and club channel.
Britvic Ireland is the Number Two soft drinks business in Ireland employing over 500 staff island-wide. It exports some 25% of what it produces while 98% of the soft drinks it sells in Ireland are produced in Ireland.
