Another Gold for Fercullen
Fercullen Whiskey was awarded another Gold Medal for its Fercullen 18 Year-Old Single Malt as well as a Silver Medal for its 14 Year-Old Malt, this time at the IWSC awards.
Bronze Medals were also awarded for its 10 Year-Old Single Grain and 8 Year-Old Premium Blend whiskies.
Released by Master Distiller Noel Sweeney, Fercullen 18 Year-Old Single Malt has been matured in Bourbon barrels for over 18 years.
Tasting notes reveal Oak and Bourbon tones which marry to give plenty of depth and character while retaining exquisitely-balanced flavours:
Nose: Honey, Vanilla, sweet malty, spice, Almonds, Cinnamon, ripe fruits, rich Cherries, Plums and Oak wood.
Palate: Smooth. Layer upon layer of sweet, creamy malt, Vanilla, ripe fruits, syrupy Caramel, spice and crisp Oak.
Finish: Malty to start with a long-lasting sweet spice, malt and fruity finish.
