A new book, Flair Bartending: The Origins – The Golden Era – The Untold by Marco Canova & Tom Dyer will launch next week

Flair Bartending is an art form that blends speed, precision, performance, and creativity

After four years of meticulous research, writing, and collaboration, the long-awaited Flair Bartending: The Origins – The Golden Era – The
Untold will be officially unveiled on 19 January, 2026.

This monumental volume of over 500 pages is the first and most comprehensive book ever published on Flair Bartending — an art form that has captivated audiences worldwide by blending speed, precision, performance, and creativity. Designed as a premium coffee-table edition, the book combines history, education, culture, and entertainment into one definitive work.

The book also features contributions from some of the most renowned global influencers in bartending, hospitality, and beverage culture, whose insights and experiences enrich the narrative with diverse perspectives from around the world. Completing the project, the book’s design has been curated by the prestigious international beverage agency Liquid-Hub, ensuring a visual identity and graphic standard fully aligned with the premium nature of the work.

Written by internationally acclaimed flair bartenders Marco Canova and Tom Dyer, the book takes readers on a compelling journey through the humble origins of the discipline, its golden years, and its evolution into a global cultural movement. Illustrated with rare archival imagery, exclusive interviews, and personal stories, it reveals the hidden world behind the bottles, the bars, and the legends of Flair.

This is the first and only book entirely dedicated to Flair Bartending. With a luxurious hardcover volume of over 500 pages, housed in a laminated matte slipcase, it is printed in full color on premium coated paper.

It is a multidimensional journey encompassing history, training, community, and culture, designed for both professionals and enthusiasts.
The authors, Marco Canova and Tom Dyer, are two of the industry’s most influential figures, with decades of experience, over 90 countries visited, and thousands of bartenders trained worldwide.

Dyer says that the book is a tribute to everyone who had the courage to step behind a bar and perform

Canova and Dyer have performed in over 90 countries, won multiple championships, and become global ambassadors of the craft. Through competitions, training programs, and live performances, they have inspired thousands of bartenders and helped establish Flair as a recognised international discipline.

According to Canova, “We wanted to create more than just a book,  we wanted to build a legacy. Flair Bartending has given us unforgettable experiences and a global family, yet its history had never truly been documented. With this book, we preserve its roots, celebrate its golden era, and inspire the future of this art.”

Adding to that, Dyer says, “Flair isn’t just about throwing bottles,  it’s about creativity, confidence, and connection. This book is a tribute to everyone who had the courage to step behind a bar and perform. I’m proud that, together with Marco, we’ve created something that honors the past while motivating the next generation of bartenders.”

It’s available from www.flairbartendingbook.com or www.barproducts.com, and is priced at £59.95 plus shipping from January 19.
