Lockdown has done no harm to off-trade sales of gin, no harm at all. Sales were up 35% in the year to May the 21st, to €71.7 million from the previous year's sales figure of €53.2 million at a time when most on-trade outlets were closed. The thrust now is to up the margin with a push to premium for the brands involved. We look at the gin market.
