The 2011 Irish Wine Show

Details on booking a place at the 2011 Irish Wine Show will be sent to NOffLA members in the coming weeks

wine showThe 2011 Irish Wine Show will be held at The Pavillion at Leopardstown in Leopardstown Racecourse, Foxrock, Dublin 18, on Tuesday, 28 September 2010 from 10.30am to 5pm. This will be the tenth wine show hosted by the National Off-Licence Association at which the Gold Star Awards are presented and is now part of the industry’s calendar of not-to-be missed events.

Preparations are well in hand to make a success of the 2010 Irish Wine Show. NOffLA WSET Diploma and Higher Certificate holders will gather in Dublin on Wednesday 11 August to participate in the blind tasting to select the wines for the Gold Star Awards 2010. The best sparkling / Champagne will be tasted by Champagne Academy members of the National Off-Licence Association. Both tasting panels will be chaired by leading Irish wine writers.

Winning a “Gold Star Award” is a distinctive accolade for the featured wines and also provides a strong marketing platform – particularly in the all-important pre-Christmas selling period. Time spent at the show is a great investment. The opportunity to meet suppliers in one place, on one day, can save you so much time and money. The Irish Wine Show is exclusive to members of the National Off-Licence Association. With this in mind, the show is aimed at owners, managers and staff of independent off-licences. A visit to the Irish Wine Show will be enjoyable, educational and profitable. Perhaps you are looking to update your wine range; you may want to taste some of the best fine wines on the market today; you could be tempted to expand your range into areas that you are weak in; or perhaps you simply want to be one of the first to taste the winners of the Irish Wine Show Gold Star Awards. There are many opportunities at the show, but the main benefit is that it is about improving your business, and ultimately your profitability. You will have the chance to taste from an incredible selection, including some great new vintages, so it is the perfect place to meet new suppliers and deal with existing ones. You can get to meet them in a relaxed and open environment and discuss the specific needs of your business.

Full details on booking your place at this year’s most anticipated wine event will be sent to NOffLA members in the coming weeks.
