March bar volumes fall 55%

Not surprisingly, provisional seasonally-adjusted figures for March from the Central Statistics Office show that bar volumes fell 54.7% compared to the same month in 2019 while values fell 54.2%.
Unsurprisingly, March bar sales volumes were 53.1% down on the previous month, February.

Unsurprisingly too, March bar sales volumes were 53.1% down on February while values showed a decline of 53.0%.

Final seasonally-adjusted bar sales volume figures for February were down 3.7% on the same month in 2019 and they were down by 2.6% in value.

Compared to the preceding month, January 2020, February’s bar sales volumes figure was up 0.2% while values grew 0.8%.

Over the first quarter of 2020 bar sales volumes showed a decline of 23.3% on Q1 in 2019 and a 22.3% decline in value.

Comparing Q1 2020 with the last Quarter of 2019 bar sales volumes were down 21.2% while values were down 20.9%.
