Jameson jumps 27% in Q1 net sales

Good news from Pernod Ricard whose net sales jumped 14 per cent to €1.879 billion in the company’s first quarter to 30th September 2010. The increase in sales comprised an organic growth of 10 per cent driven by the company’s 14 strategic brands including Jameson which grew net sales 27 per cent in the first quarter (representing 26 per cent organic volume growth).

With PR’s organic growth of two per cent in Europe to €517 million, the decline in sales in Spain, Ireland and the UK “proved less significant in the first quarter (about three per cent) than in the previous financial year,” stated the company.
