Alcohol – 2nd most popular cross-border purchase after groceries

Alcohol was the second most common purchase whenever shoppers crossed the border over the past 12 months according to the most recent CSO survey.

The Quarterly National Household Survey of Cross-Border Shopping (Q2) found that after groceries at 77 per cent, next came alcohol (bought by 44 per cent of households).
Overall, cross-border shoppers spent €418 million in NI over the past 12 months, according to the CSO.
