3rd Paulaner Oktoberfest Beag back in Cork

The third Paulaner Oktoberfest Beag takes place at the Old Beamish and Crawford Brewery, South Main Street, Cork, from 13th to 22nd of September.

Last year’s event saw over 7,000 visitors attend. Tasty beers and authentic German dishes, funfair rides and a whole lot more await this year’s Festival-goers.

The world-famous Edelweiss Oompah Band will be back to entertain the crowds with their traditional Bavarian music, toe-tapping lyrics and classic games.

Traditional German food by Mr Hans Frankfurter including dishes such as Bratwurst and Schweinsbraten (slow cooked pork), both served with authentic German mustard and the famous Hela curry ketchup, pickles and sauté onions, will be available. And visitors can wash the tasty dishes down with a special Oktoberfest brew from Paulaner which is shipping in hundreds of kegs direct from Germany. All food and drink will be served directly to your table by German Frauliens dressed in traditional dirndls.

Ernest Cantillion, Oktoberfest Beag organiser, is delighted to bring the festival back to Cork for the third year in a row.

Octoberfest Beag was voted Corporate Event of the Year 2011.

Event Organiser Phil Ryan commented, “We are seeing great interest again this year from corporates with enquiries up from 3,000 to 5,000. Businesses are looking for a cost-effective and fun way to entertain their staff and that is exactly what Octoberfest can provide”.

Corporate packages for groups of over 20 people, including a reserved section with food and drink vouchers, for guests are now available.

Tickets start from just €10. For all the latest news and information, or to purchase tickets visit www.oktoberfestbeag.ie or find it on Facebook.
