Wintergreen turnover up again

Turnover continued to rise at Wintergreen Holdings Ltd, developer Paddy McKillen’s hospitality and property investment company.

In the year to 31st December 2017 Group turnover rose again, this time by 37% to €76 million from €55.6 million.

Wintergreen Holdings, which includes the Press Up Entertainment Group of outlets with a portfolio including Everleigh, the Liquor Rooms and the Vintage Cocktail Club, had a rise in Operating Profits of 60% to €20.2 million partly thanks to a greatly reduced repayment on interest.

Pre-tax profits at the Group grew 28% to €19.4 million from €15.2 million the previous year.

The Group employs 847 people (up from 709 the previous year) of which 609 comprise bar, restaurant, hotel, management and admin staff (up from 459). Payroll costs rose to €19.2 million from the previous year’s figure of just under €16 million.
